Manaslu Circuit Trek Overview: The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a challenging restricted rewarding journey in Nepal, taking you around the majestic Manaslu peak (8,163 meters), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. It offers stunning views of diverse landscapes, unique cultures, lush forests, traditional villages, and snow-capped peaks. The Manaslu Circuit Trek can be completed within 10 to 14 days from Kathmandu. It’s completely based on the tea house and the trek is moderate level.
Duration: The Manaslu Circuit Trek usually takes around 14 to 17 days to complete, depending on your itinerary and walking pace. Some trekkers may choose longer routes or side trips, which can extend the trek’s duration.
Permits: Before starting the trek, you need to obtain two permits: (1) Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP) and (2) Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). Additionally, you will need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) since the Manaslu region is a restricted area. It is essential to trek with a registered guide or in a group to acquire the RAP.
Best Time to Trek: The best seasons for the Manaslu Circuit Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these periods, the weather is relatively stable, and the skies are clear, offering the best views of the mountains and surroundings.
Trek Difficulty: The Manaslu Circuit Trek is considered moderately to highly challenging. Trekkers should be physically fit and mentally prepared for long and steep ascents and descents, high altitudes, and possible weather fluctuations.
Accommodation: Teahouses and lodges are available along the trekking route. These establishments provide basic accommodations and meals. However, it is advisable to carry a sleeping bag and be prepared for shared facilities in some places.

Day 7: Rest day in Samagaun (Acclimatization)
Day 8: Samagaun to Samdo
Day 9: Samdo to Dharmasala
Day 10: Dharmasala to Bhimthang via Larkya La Pass
Day 11: Bhimthang to Tilije
Day 12: Tilije to Tal
Day 13: Tal to Syange
Day 14: Syange to Besisahar (Drive) and back to Kathmandu
