The 7 Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is a moderately short beautiful trek in Nepal. Probably, Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the 2nd popular trekking route in Nepal after Everest Base Camp. The trek leads to you the base camp of Annapurna and it’s lies at 4130 meters above sea level. Mt Annapurna is the world’10th tallet peak located in the Annapurna region.

It is a breathtaking journey that takes you through diverse cultures, landscapes, charming villages, natural hot springs, and numerous mountain views. Here’s a complete guide to help you plan your 7 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek. We’ve completed some general tips to help completes the trip and it’s definitely support your whole trip to Annapurna Base Camp.

We made the Annapurna Base Camp in 2018

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (2 hrs) to Tikhedhunga — 4 hrs (1450m)

  • Start your trek from Nayapul, which is about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Pokhara.
  • Trek through picturesque villages and lush rhododendron forests.
  • Reach Tikhedhunga, a small village where you’ll spend the night.
  • You will go through extremely beautiful places such as rivers and hills.

Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani — 7 hrs (2860m)

  • Begin the day with a steep climb up the stone staircase known as Ulleri.
  • Continue through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests.
  • Reach Ghorepani village, a popular stop with tea houses and stunning sunset views over the Himalayas.

Day 3: Ghorepani to Tadapani -6 hrs — (2660mm)

  • Wake up early morning and hike to Poon Hill(3,210m) to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.
  • Descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast.
  • Trek through forests and enjoy panoramic views of the mountains.
  • Arrive at Tadapani and spend the night.

Day 4: Tadapani to Chhomrong — 7 hrs (2120m)

  • Descend through a dense forest and cross a suspension bridge.
  • The Chhomrong is a massive Gurung village where you can see an authentic village with marvelous scenarios of numerous peaks.
  • Ascend steeply to the Gurung village of Chhomrong, which offers stunning views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks.
  • Spend the night in Chhomrong.

Day 5: Chhomrong to Bamboo — 6 hrs (2230m)

  • Descend on a stone staircase and cross the Chhomrong Khola.
  • Trek through rhododendron and bamboo forests.
  • Reach Bamboo, a small village located beside the Modi Khola River, and stay overnight.

Day 6: Bamboo to Deurali -6 hrs (3700m)

  • Continue ascending through bamboo and rhododendron forests.
  • Pass through the Himalayan Hotel and Hinku Cave.
  • Reach Deurali, which is located in a valley with close-up views of the surrounding mountains.
  • Spend the night in Deurali.

Day 7: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and back to Bamboo — 9 hrs

  • Trek through a narrow gorge and climb up to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC).
  • From MBC, continue trekking to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), surrounded by towering peaks.
  • Enjoy the breathtaking views and spend some time at ABC.
  • Descend back to Bamboo for the night.

Day 8: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda — 6 hrs (1700m)

  • Descend through bamboo forests and cross the Chhomrong Khola.
  • Ascend steeply to Chhomrong village.
  • Continue descending to Jhinu Danda, where you can relax in natural hot springs.
  • Spend the night in Jhinu Danda.

Day 9: Jhinu Danda to Nayapul and return to Pokhara — 5 hrs (820m)

  • Trek downhill through villages and terraced fields.
  • Reach Nayapul and take a vehicle back to Pokhara.
  • Celebrate the completion of your Annapurna Base Camp Trek!
