The number of visitors to the Annapurna region is highest in October, November, December March April and May
Annapurna Trekking Trails
The popularity of the Annapurna region with trekkers is entirely understandable. Amongst some of the most dramatic scenery in the world, there are trekking routes to suit all seasons and levels of fitness. The main trekking routes in the Annapurna trekking region follow the two major rivers valleys and the trail into the Annapurna Sanctuary via Ghandruk and Chomrong. As well as these main routes there are many alternative trails and shortcuts offering trekkers numerous possibilities. The options are even greater for those with camping equipment who can explore some of the rarely trekked high-altitude routes.
Most people are constrained by time. A common mistake when route planning is to try to pack in too much. Your trek, which should be a holiday and escape from the busy schedules of work or study, then becomes a race against time. It’s far better not to trek every day but to have some rest day, to fully acclimatized and enjoy the beauty of the place that you are passing through. And don’t forget to allow two nights in Kathmandu to collect your trekking permit and get your trekking gear ready. Plus extra days if you’re flying to Jomsom in case planes are delayed. If you are planning to do the treks in the Annapurna region we highly recommend the mentioned trek in 2023. Let's talk and get more information by our travel planner.
