The most common trek around the Langtang region is the Langtang Valley trek of 7 days or more than 10 days. The walk starts and ends at Syabrubesi village or with options one can visit upper Thuli Syabru village. It’s one of the most beautiful and iconic villages in the Langtang region of Nepal. The other adventurous and longer walks of two weeks is a combination of Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda Lake Trek and Gosainkunda Pass with Helambu Circuit Trek too. Leads to a higher country within a holy glacial pond of Gosainkunda, a famous pilgrimage spot for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims.

From Gosainkunda either continue trek crossing high Gosainkund pass / East Laurabinaya-La at 4,610 m and 15,126 feet high. If you haven’t enough time can walk back to Dhunche town walking through a nice settlement of Sing Gompa village. Interested trekkers can cross over Gosainkunda pass and head towards Helambuv valley, and then back to Kathmandu via Chisapani hill.

However, the Ganja La pass would be very tough if there is a lot of blue ice or the pass is covered in snow deep, requiring camping gears for a few nights. After crossing Ganja-la pass over 5,130m then towards to Tarke Gyang and Helambu region, before back to Kathmandu. The other adventurous trek is Tilman Col, a pass at above 5,320 m, located far eastern corner of Langtang valley. The Tilman Col joins the route of Langtang and Panch Pokhari areas of Sindhu Palanchok and Rasuwa districts.

Ganja La Pas

For Ganja-La and Tilman Col passes treks compulsory needs to ferry camping equipment for several days of the trek. Also needs to carry ropes, ice-ax, and crampons depending upon the snow conditions on crossing over these passes.
